Ivan Vera Mathiri Movie Review & Fans Opinions

After his stunning debut in Kumki, Vikram Prabhu took his own time to sign his next movie. After exactly one year, he is back with his latest movie Ivan Vera Mathiri. He has teamed up with Sarvanan, who is returning after successful movie Engeyum Eppodhum. In his debut movie, Vikram Prabhu had rustic look and it was a rural-based character. In the latest movie Ivan Vera Mathiri, he will be seen in a city-based role. He has romanced newcomer Surabhi. The movie, which has bagged clean 'U' certificate, is releasing today (December 13), in a good number of screens. ADVERTISEMENT Indeed, it is surprising to see a young actor like Vikram Prabhu getting 300+ screens for release when there are numerous movies hitting the screens back-to-back. The movie is said to be about citizens' role to rectify an evil prevalent in our society. We blame our government or cops when something bad happens in and around us - the main plot revolves around this. The early reports emerging from various sources suggest that Ivan Vera Mathiri has opened up to good response. While some have praised the movie, and few have given 'average' ratings. Here, we are bringing you some early one-line reviews posted on social networking sites by people, who have seen it

Top Kollywood Heros of 2013

As 2013 draws to a close we revisit Kollywood heroes who stood out this year. Here's our pick!

Versatile Hero of 2013

The honour goes to Padmashri Kamal Haasan. The Ulaganayagan has once again gone the distance for blockbuster Vishwaroopam. On viewing the film one can tell that the controversy he braved was only the tip of the iceberg in the many hurdles he encountered in putting on this spectacle.
He embraced femininity, a two-part tale with some gripping twists, and most importantly, dared to saved the USA. Hats off to ingenuity!

 Action hero of 2013

Can it be anyone other than our thala Ajith? The man took on some astounding stunts in Arrambam. We admit that he cannot dance. He cannot sing. He can't credibly cry either. But he sure is bold, beer-belly or not.

Comic Hero of 2013

The man who gets to flaunt this title is none other than Sivakarthikeyan. The actor has had back-to-back hits (Ethir Neechal, Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, Vathapadatha Valibar Sangam) and all three had us howling with laughter.

Noir Hero of 2013

Vijay Sethupathi, the actor who won us over with his salt & pepper bearded, wayfarer-ed, shaggy-maned kidnap specialist in Soodhu Kavvum. A round of applause please! What a performance! And what cool!

Mustachioed Hero of 2013

There are quite a few contenders for this title. Namely Dhanush, Suriya and Sasikumar.

Suriya used the elaborate mustache to add punch to his Singam 2 dialogues. But it failed to save the loud and senseless action flick.

Sasikumar's look in Kutti Puli was enhanced by the curly-tipped mustache. But with that beard, it almost seemed like his usual facial getup.

But Dhanush's mustache is another story altogether. Through Mariyaan the mustache had a role and evolved with the character. And that makes Dhanush the clear winner of this titlle!

Villain of 2013

What's a hero without a villain. One bad guy who we can't help but root for is Simhaa. The man is not only a brilliant actor, but has spectacular comic timing. We loved him as the unintentional amateur kidnapper in Soodhu Kavvum and as the blinged-out rowdy in Neram. Simhaa sure does give the bad guy a good name!

All-star Heroes of 2013

Sure, we'd love something on the lines of Expendables - a mash-up of aging and legendary action stars . But until then we're quite happy with casting like in Chennaiyil Oru Naal. Cheran, Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj and Prasanna rocked the gripping thriller. We sure could do with more such threesomes.

Hunky Hero of 2013

We choose Vikram Prabhu. All set to rock the screen in romantic thriller Ivan Veramathiri, Prabhu Jr is intense! He gives us a hint of that Agni Natchathiram fieriness his dad channelled.

Chocolate Hero of 2013

Gautham Karthik
Mani Ratnam's Kadal may have sunk without a trace. But the toothy smile of newcomer Gautham Karthik has certainly made an impression. Hubba! Hubba!
